Hinckley, Allen & Snyder LLP has supported a dedicated health law practice for more than thirty years. Our practice focuses on transactional and regulatory matters for health care providers throughout New England and the nation. The health law practice at Hinckley, Allen & Snyder limits its representation to health care providers.
Currently, we represent, as either general or special counsel, over 40 hospitals and academic medical centers and more than 70 nursing facilities and other senior housing organizations. We also represent home health agencies, hospices, clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, rehabilitation therapy providers, provider networks, faculty practice plans, dialysis centers, clinical laboratories, medical equipment supply companies, physicians and other individual practitioners. In addition, we advise both state-based and national trade associations serving hospitals, nursing facilities and other health care entities on both general and specialized regulatory matters.
We were one of the first dedicated health care practices in New England. Our attorneys have been at the forefront of every major health care regulatory development, from the adoption of comprehensive certificate of need laws in the early 1970's, to the implementation of the fraud and abuse laws and hospital restructuring and affiliation waves of the 1980's, through the enactment of state hospital conversion acts and nursing facility enforcement of the 1990's, to the implementation of HIPAA and the increasingly complicated regulatory environment of the new millennium.
Our health law practice provides services at the highest level of sophistication, including complex litigation, innovative corporate transactions, in-depth regulatory analysis and liability prevention counseling.more
